CLI v0.1.36 — Claude wrapper, project discoverer, session events

A sessioncast claude wrapper that notifies your phone when the AI finishes a turn or asks for permission, plus a project discoverer that resumes the last AI session in a project in one click.

The SessionCast CLI ships v0.1.36 today. Six commits worth of agent-side smarts that make session resume and AI integration feel native.

What’s new

sessioncast claude wrapper

A drop-in replacement for claude that emits sessionEvent push triggers so your phone gets a notification the moment the AI finishes a turn or asks for permission. Use exactly like claude — every flag passes through.

Project Discoverer (Feature 1)

The agent now scans your machine for git projects on startup and surfaces them to the web/desktop client. Pick a project from the sidebar → resume the last AI session in that working directory in one click. Tool-aware resume preserves the active tool context (Read/Edit/Bash/etc.) when resuming.

Cleaner project list

/tmp/... project entries are dropped on every scan — no more stale rows from temporary working directories.

Agent-side startSession / projectHide handlers

The web/desktop can now ask the agent to start a brand-new session in a specific directory, or hide a project from the list, without round-tripping through the relay.

WS broadcast for project sync

When projects change on disk, the relay broadcasts an event so every connected client (web on laptop, desktop on workstation, mobile in your pocket) refreshes simultaneously. No more pulling-to-refresh.

Install / upgrade

curl -fsSL https://get.sessioncast.io/install.sh | bash

The installer detects your platform (macOS arm64/x86_64, Linux, Windows) and grabs the right binary from the GitHub release. Existing installs upgrade in place.

Once installed, restart your agent (sessioncast agent) to pick up the new handlers.

Compatibility

  • Web/Desktop: works with all v0.1.x agents but session events + project discoverer require v0.1.35+.
  • Older clients: server-side features are backwards-compatible.
